I was brought onto the Dogs in Space design team to help out with background colour. Emphasis was put on adding cohesive beauty to mundane everyday spaces. I had a lot of freedom to experiment with unorthodox palettes and I learned a ton under the guidance of the colour supervisor and art director. 

I also had the opportunity to do post board design, Mobious was a big influence on the overall aesthetic and line quality, an inspiring reference to work from.

Here’s a selection of background paintings from my time working on Young Love. The use of light and how it's designed was a pleasure to work with. The environments felt bright, lived in, and accentuated with just the right amount of texture.

Experiments with 3D backgrounds.

Originally a 2D painted background made 3D using Blender. This is a process I will continue working with. By combining 2D and 3D elements I feel you can really harness the strengths of both when developing an idea or visual language.
